Health Programs

We have a number of programs that are available to the families and staff at our center. A Mental Health consultation is available to parents through two projects funded by the Children's Council and The San Francisco Psychoanalytic Institute.   The Department of Health has placed a nurse with Friends of St. Francis.  Vision, hearing, dental screenings are offered to all children enrolled.  Staff conducts developmental assessments using the California Department of Education’s Desired Results developmental screening tool. The Center provides sensori-motor screenings for all preschool aged children and for toddlers as needed.  This is made available through our relationship with Alanna Freeman, O.T.R. who is committed to assisting us in providing quality early childhood programming that is informed by the most recent research in children's brain development.
